What are they? Through this type of fund, a group of people collectively makes recommendations, using an objective set of criteria, about which individuals to support through scholarships. The committee advising this type of fund may determine the criteria and selection process for scholarships. The members of the committee do not have to be donors to the fund. However, all members of the committee have an equal voice in selecting grant recipients.Or, donors can choose to support the general scholarship programs of the Marin Education Fund.
