Goal: To support interfaith education and spiritual dialogue to foster community
Overview: Marin is home to many spiritual seekers who have expressed interest in understanding a variety of faith traditions. Interfaith education, inter-congregation dialogue, and cross-cultural activities can help to establish an increased sense of belonging and community cooperation. A strong network among diverse faith communities can translate to the improvement of community life and encourage community members’ active participation in issues of local concern.
Under this goal, MCF will support projects that incorporate the following strategy:
Strategy: We will support efforts to increase the number, attendance, and diversity of interfaith or spiritual dialogues and activities among diverse faith traditions with a focus on improving community life. Activities and focus will include increasing the numbers and diversity of interfaith and spiritual events, programs focused on attracting vulnerable groups, and cross-congregation events and forums.
Process: Register with the Grant Application Center starting October 1, 2008, which is the Registration Open Date for this goal. This system enables you to complete and submit all application materials online.
Once you have registered, please complete and submit a Letter of Intent (LOI), even if you have received funding from MCF in the past for this kind of work.
If your LOI is approved, you will be notified how to prepare and submit a full proposal, also using the Grant Application Center.
